Why I got into collecting

At first, it was for the prospect of making a bit of cash. It was the 90's and the collectors market was going nuts (especially for comic books) Print runs were in the millions, there were foil editions and a stack of new number 1's that were sure to make you a millionaire (Remember the "death of superman?")

SO that's wher it all started for me. But thankfully, I came to my senses and started collecting things I actually like. Now I collect Batman comics mainly for the artwork and the stories. Yes, there are a few worth a bit of cash, but I care more about how my collection makes me feel. What about you?
